It took us 20 hours to drive both ways, but was worth every minute! We had a great time this last week visiting Bryan's family [well, quite a few of them anyways] over Christmas. We had a blast and have the pictures to prove it! First, we met Bryan's dad and went to his school, it was amazing! What a beautiful place. The building is filled with such history, including once being used as a posh hotel for the rich and famous, and then later as a maximum security prison where the on the top floor once housed the prisoners who were held in solitary confinement. It was just as they had left it with huge cold heavy cages, a single toilet per cell, a little scary, but we couldn't resist this family picture...
The next day we headed over to the Greenbrier Inn to learn about Falcons, Hawks and owls. It was very interesting and something we had never done before. They even showed that through a small opening this bird could swoop down and fly through [why me?]Just for fun...Taylor's new shorter hair [4 inches to be exact]We each got to hold this birdOn Sunday we went to church, later we made & decorated cookies and took them around to my cute sister-in-law Audra's neighbors homes, it was so much fun.Bryan took the kids on Monday to this cave which scared the kids out of their minds when they learned it was the legend home of the "bat boy"!Christmas Eve we had this wonderful meal, which is no surprise if you know ANYTHING about what a fabulous cook my mother-in-law is!Here are the kids dressed and ready for the nativity...A couple pictures on Christmas morning...

You amaze me. How were the kids in the car? I'm sure it was nice to getaway and know that there was no way Bryan could be called into the hospital.

looks like you guys had so much fun! I can't imagine 20 hours in the car, oh wait - 40 all together! We drove the 5 hours to st. george and that was enough for me.
I love the pictures - especially the owl (I think thats what it is), you do a great job!
Did Jack stay home? We always have a hard time deciding on what to do with Max, he hates being boarded and I just don't ever trust anyone enough to watch him!
