Happy Birthday Bryan.

Happy Birthday HON!
Bryan turned the big three-two.

I told him his present was to go do his absolute favorite thing ever on a beautiful summer day:
PLAY GOLF.

I told him to take a friend and he said he wanted ME to go. ME? I have never played a minute of golf in my life. But how hard could it be to swing at a ball? I've done that playing tennis on and off for the past 23 years. So off we went to:

It was beautiful! (And HOT! 91 degrees + humidity) But I could see why people get so hooked on this sport. It was relaxing and pretty and fun and then....
I TRIED to hit a ball...(glad this isn't video)
{Just so you know, it's SOOO much harder than it looks.}
Bryan was great getting my club out, setting up my balls, showing me how to place my feet...he was trying so hard to help me like golf as much as he does. His dream has always been for us to travel around the world playing together. I just had more in mind going places and while he golfs - I shop, but now I'm open to the whole thing - just need to take {lots of} lessons! I'm not so sure he was still thinking that when FINALLY he found my ball...in the trees.
There's something to being married and enjoying doing your favorite things together. Bryan and I have always tried to that anyways. I made him run a marathon with me on our first anniversary and we play tennis all the time at our local club...now I am excited to maybe add this one to our list of ways to spend time together - if he'll let me play again!

Bryan shot a 76. Quite fitting since he was born in '76, don't you think?

We ended this perfect afternoon with the most PERFECT dessert. I had this cheesecake in Nashville at the Cheesecake Factory in April and Bryan's had to hear me talk about it this whole time. I guess I put just the perfect amount of hype on it because now he believes me and I still really think this is the most PERFECT slice of HEAVEN!

ooh that's pretty! I enjoy golf, too! my Dad and bros love the game, but I married a country boy who despises it. Oh well time on the golf course with my bros and Dad will have to do! Looks like a fun day perfectly ended with the perfect yumminess...Cheesecake Factory!

Happy Birthday Bryan! What a perfect day. It is wonderful doing things you enjoy as a couple, and there's something to be said about doing it without the kids.

We enjoy golf too, but the deal is, I drive the cart and drink a diet coke and Jefferson does the golfing. :) Maybe I should look into lessons.

How nice that he wanted to take you golfing. I am lucky Deven doesn't golf so it's ok if I never take it up.

wow my hubby won't let me near a course because he know how frustrating it would be with me trying to make contact with the ball for two hours ;) how sweet that he invited you and it sounds like a perfect birthday (and date!)
