Carmelitas for Carrie...

Come on you girls that have tried this recipe...aren't these to DIE for?
2 cups flour
2 cups quick oats
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 1/4 cup (2 1/2 sticks-yikes!) butter, softened
1 12.5 oz jar caramel or butterscotch ice cream topping
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
3 T. flour
Blend flour through salt. Stir in butter. Press half of mixture in bottom of greased 9x13 glass pan. Bake at 350 for 10 min. While baking mix together caramel and flour. Remove crust from oven, sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts, drizzle with caramel, and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Press down gently. Bake at 350 for 18-20 min or until golden brown. Cool completely. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours.
