Day in History.

Even if I didn't vote for him or completely agree with his politics, I still believe he is a good human being and will {hopefully} make our economy + nation stronger. This is a day to remember and I will be watching. My older kids are at the ages where they could probably remember such an event and I want them to. It's the first time they've been alive for an inauguration let alone such a historic one. So the other day on GMA they posted the Obama Chili recipe, it's a recipe the new president has made over the years. I think considering today (and our high of 19 degrees) I couldn't think of anything more fitting.

Great post. For some reason my pediatrician knew I wasn't a big Obama fan. When I took Sarah to her appointment today I expressed my excitement about the day and talked about how excited my kids were to be able to witness the event on TV at school. We had a great chat about supporting our current president--I think she was a little (pleasantly) surprised. Obama chili, huh. Sounds interesting!!!

I am so with you. His speech was inspiring. I am always amazed what you can find too. Obama chili sounds great.

OK, so I was all pumped, and then whats up with him freeing terrorists in Guantanamo bay the very first half of the very first day he's in office?

.. a little fishy to me that it was his first item of business. Nevertheless, I want to try to stay positive and wait to see if he can walk on water like everyone seems to believe.
