Announcing a fun new class for girls this summer!

I'm really not sure how this idea came about or started, but I know it involved a phone conversation with my endlessly talented sister Brooke who got the wheels turning and before I knew it the ideas were flowing. Some notes, the recruitment of a fabulous dressmaker (Jen), and a quick trip to the fabric store later ... and wahla! Here we are in a fun new summer project ...
sewing classes just for girls ages 8-13 who would like to learn how to sew!
[We're starting with this fabulous new summer dress and a headband to match!]

It's going to be SEW FUN! (yeah, you knew that one was coming!)

Here's the great pattern Jen came up with done in a Fresh Cut Heather Bailey fabric with an Amy Butler pink trim:
A line cut skirt in beautiful bright colors.

LOVE the button detail + coordinating fabric she added on the shoulder.

The back is to die for!

The headband is simple and perfect!

I'll be posting the details soon for anyone who reads this blog here in Rochester and might be interested.

I love the dress. Is it possible to get the pattern since it's too far for the class? Email me if you can. kayteechurch@gmail.com Thanks!
